The core mission of the AUWU is to advocate for the rights and dignity of the unemployed. The most important work of our union is our National Advocacy Hotline. Be it through phone, email or social media, we are constantly fielding help requests from those subjected to the cruelty of our punitive welfare system.

You can help by signing up to volunteer with our Advocacy team. It’s the fastest and best way to get involved with the most vital work of the union. You will receive training, resources and 1-on-1 support. Please fill out the below form to express your volunteering interest. We are looking for support staff (admin, tech, legal research etc.) in addition to advocacy officers.
